Repton Restoration Society
The Repton Restoration Society was established in 2004 in an attempt to breathe new life into what used to be a busy, thriving little Railroad Town. Repton used to boast several banks, hotels, stores, livery stable, cotton gin, the only hospital between Selma & Pensacola with the only Board Certified Surgeon in the surrounding area(1930’s) and one heck of an athletic & academic program at Repton High School.
As transportation shifted to trucking, Repton lost most of its business’, and lost its high school to “Consolidation”. This impact turned this once vivacious little town into a literal Ghost Town. The History is Rich! And, with hard work, we will accomplish this New Life. You too can be an important part of this revival. We are in the process of creating the Repton General Store that will showcase local talents/crafts for purchase. And, please, JOIN the Repton Restoration Society today for just $5 and watch us grow. Or don’t just watch, Come to Visit!
Our Mission:
The Repton Restoration Society vows to restore, preserve and uphold for future generations, all that embodies the spirit of Repton, its History and its Community.
All monies from Membership or the Repton General Store benefit the Community of Repton whether it is historical restoration, preservation, beautification or community activity.
